New leaked footage of Big Tigger physically struggling with his wife over his cell phone is spreading across social media, adding another chapter to the domestic violence case that has already cost the Atlanta radio host his spot on the air. The clip, which racked up millions of views, shows the former BET Rap City host and his estranged wife, Alicia Brown, wrestling on the floor as he tries to pry the phone from her hands.
In the video, a woman recording the scene repeatedly tells him to stop stepping on Brown, who is on the ground and can be heard yelling “Get off of me” while accusing him of manhandling her. It is at least the second piece of footage from inside the couple’s home to leak in less than two weeks. What the clip does not show is how the confrontation started or ended, and outlets including TMZ and EURweb have noted that it does not establish criminal liability or provide the full context of the incident. The footage is tied to the case that led to Big Tigger’s arrest. Tigger, whose legal name is Darian Morgan and who has been an Atlanta media fixture for decades, was taken into custody on June 20 in Sandy Springs, Georgia, and booked into Fulton County Jail on charges that include aggravated battery and third degree cruelty to children. He posted bonds totaling 10,000 dollars and was released the same day.According to the arrest report obtained by WSB-TV, the underlying incident happened on May 9 and started with an argument over text messages Morgan had received from a female coworker. Police allege he began recording Brown on his phone, and when she reached for it, he tackled her to the floor as they struggled over the device. The report states that when Brown went to a basement office and unplugged a shared computer, Morgan grabbed her arms and shoved her, causing her to stumble headfirst into an office door and suffer a deep laceration above her left eye that required stitches. Their son, who was 13 and home at the time, reportedly heard the altercation, which is the basis for the child cruelty charge.Brown was taken to urgent care, where staff contacted police because of the injury. A Fulton County judge later granted her a temporary protective order requiring Big Tigger to stay at least 200 yards from Brown, the family home, and the children, and to surrender access to the home’s Ring camera and gate system. She was given temporary custody of the couple’s children and exclusive use of the home. Court documents also note an allegation that Morgan pressured Brown to downplay the incident.Big Tigger has denied everything. In a statement after his arrest he said he has complete confidence in the facts and the legal process and intends to cooperate fully, and he separately told TMZ that he unequivocally denies every allegation against him. He has since announced he is stepping away from his radio show to focus on his family and let his legal team handle the case. None of the leaked footage has changed his charges, his bond, or the protective order. The dispute has also pulled in a third name. Brown accused Big Tigger of having an affair with his V-103 radio partner, Francesca Amiker, an allegation Amiker publicly denied on June 9 before filing a defamation lawsuit against Brown. Amiker’s suit claims Brown’s posts set off a wave of online harassment and damaged her reputation, and it seeks damages over what it describes as a false public campaign against her. Then the story took a stunning turn. On Monday night, TMZ reported that Alicia Brown was arrested in Georgia on a warrant tied to kidnapping. The Hart County Sheriff’s Office said deputies tracked her SUV after a lookout alert connected to outstanding warrants out of Maryland, and that she was taken into custody without incident during a felony traffic stop on Interstate 85. Two young children in the vehicle, one of them the child she shares with Tigger, were safely recovered. Investigators said the Maryland warrants stem from the 2019 disappearance of a 10 year old child. Brown faces a felony interference with child custody charge in Georgia and is expected to be extradited to Maryland. For now, both halves of the marriage are entangled in the legal system, the criminal case against Big Tigger remains open in Fulton County, and the leaked clips keep arriving faster than the courts can sort them out. What the videos have not done is settle anything, which is exactly the problem when a private marriage becomes public evidence one phone recording at a time.
