If you’ve ever wanted to live like a rapper, now’s your chance if you have the cash. The New York Post reports that the Notorious B.I.G.’s Brooklyn apartment just hit the market for $1.7 million.

Biggie, real name Christopher Wallace, lived in the home with his wife Faith Evans her daughter, Chyna Tahjere Griffin, right up until his death.

The Fort Greene apartment features two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The home was fully renovated by its current owner, Carolina Duncan, in 2011. It has 12-foot-high ceilings, arched windows, and a fireplace for those cold New York nights. The chef’s kitchen was recently installed.

“Upstairs had been carved into a series of puzzling small rooms, so I did the opposite and knocked down all the walls to create a lofted open space,” Duncan said of the residence. “I loved the neighborhood, the proximity to Fort Greene Park, the fact that the building is on the Historic Register and had the bones of a true artist’s residence.”

Biggie was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting on March 9, 1997, while leaving a Vibe magazine party. He was riding in a green Chevy Suburban when he was struck four times.

The legendary rapper’s death was part of an intense East Coast-West Coast rap beef that saw Tupac Shakur gunned down just six months before Biggie lost his life. September 13 marks 25 years since Shakur was killed.
