Footage from 2016 at the Intercontinental Hotel in Los Angeles shows Diddy assaulting Cassie in the hotel’s corridor.
In the CNN-released video, Diddy is witnessed sprinting down the hotel hallway in a towel to apprehend Cassie as she tries to depart in an elevator. He forcefully throws Cassie to the ground by her neck, proceeding with kicks, stomps, and an endeavor to drag her down the hall by her hood.
While Cassie tries to use a hotel phone, Diddy is shown shoving her to the ground once more. Later in the video, he also throws a vase at the singer.
Cassie’s attorney, Douglas H. Wigdor, issued the following statement: “The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr. Combs. Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light.”
This video surfaced shortly after Diddy posted a new message on Instagram. In the post, captioned “LOVE,” Diddy shared an image stating, “Time tells truth.”
A federal raid on Diddy’s properties in March resulted in the seizure of electronic devices in both his Los Angeles and Miami residences.
Per ABC reports, Homeland Security conducted the raid under the orders of a Manhattan federal court, seizing devices as part of an investigation into sex trafficking stemming from civil lawsuits against the music mogul by four women.
Diddy and his legal team released a statement following the raids on his Los Angeles and Miami homes. In the statement, attorney Aaron Dyer claimed that federal authorities utilized “military-level force” to execute the raid.
