Ballerific Fashion: True Religion x Baby Phat Team Up for First Ever Collection With "Love Island" Favorites Aniya Harvey and Kayda Bosse

Baby Phat/True Religion

True Religion and Baby Phat are joining forces for their first fashion collaboration, bringing low rise denim, hot pink, and crystal covered designs back into the spotlight. The limited edition collection features “Love Island USA” stars Aniya Harvey and Kayda Bosse as the faces of a campaign celebrating the brands’ influence on Y2K fashion.

According to True Religion’s official announcement, the partnership combines True Religion’s signature horseshoe stitching and denim silhouettes with Baby Phat’s recognizable cat logo, satin finishes, furry details, and feminine styling. Every bottom in the collection features a low-rise fit, making the waistline a defining element of the collaboration.

The airbrushed baggy jeans are among the biggest standouts. The relaxed silhouette offers a roomier alternative to the fitted denim that dominated the original Y2K era. The collection also includes bootcut and flared jeans, giving shoppers different ways to embrace the low-rise trend.

Harvey revealed that the baggy denim is one of her personal favorites.

“I gravitate toward the baggy low-rise jeans,” Harvey told Sourcing Journal. “They strike the perfect balance between relaxed and sexy, and I’d style them with a fitted baby tee or a cropped jacket, accessories, and a really great pair of heels.”

The crystal-embellished denim is another major highlight. According to the brands, sparkling details appear throughout the collection, including allover crystal treatments, decorative doodles, and embellished tops. Combined with True Religion’s recognizable stitching, the pieces bring Baby Phat’s glamorous aesthetic into classic denim styles.

Bosse specifically praised the embellished jeans, telling Sourcing Journal, “I absolutely love the denim with the crystal embellishments because it’s so versatile while still making a statement.”

Beyond denim, the pink puffers and shrunken satin bomber are standout outerwear pieces. True Religion’s announcement confirms that hot pink appears across jackets, satin, denim, stitching, and hardware. The collection also includes zip jackets and vests, creating layering options for shoppers who want the Y2K look without committing to an entire matching outfit.

The denim fur mini skirt and halter set brings another recognizable early 2000s silhouette into the collection. With denim construction and furry accents, the coordinated look draws from Baby Phat’s signature approach to glamorous streetwear.

For shoppers looking for something even bolder, the collection includes an approximately 10-inch micro skirt. Sweatpants and fitted baby tees complete the assortment, giving the collaboration a mix of casual staples and statement pieces.

Baby Phat founder and CEO Kimora Lee emphasized the history behind the partnership.

“Baby Phat gave women a new language for glamour: commanding, luxurious and entirely their own,” Lee said in the official announcement. “True Religion did the same for denim. This collection joins those two legacies. It’s not a throwback. It’s the real thing.”

The campaign, titled “Making the Campaign,” features Harvey and Bosse inside an extravagant Beverly Hills mansion. Inspired by MTV’s “Making the Video,” the concept follows the two reality stars through wardrobe fittings, glam sessions, confessionals, candid reactions, and the final campaign reveal.

Their casting connects the brands’ early 2000s legacy with a younger audience familiar with reality television and social media. Both appeared on Season 8 of “Love Island USA,” bringing their on-camera chemistry into a fashion campaign built around personality and style.

The collaboration also celebrates two influential fashion histories. Baby Phat launched in 1999 under Kimora Lee Simmons, while True Religion entered the denim market in 2002. Both became recognizable names during an era when celebrity fashion, hip hop culture, and statement denim were closely connected.

The True Religion x Baby Phat collection launches Tuesday, October 27, 2026.
