After a short season with the New England Patriots, Chad Ochocinco has been released from the team. The team had been unable to successfully trade him so they let him go. No word from the Patriots as to why they were so eager to release him from the team, but many suspect that he was performing more off the field than he was on.
Chad remains optimistic however. He took to Twitter to express himself to fans:
“Thoroughly enjoyed the oppurtunity to play for the “Patriot” organization… fans were fucking wicked awesome, I wish all of you the best… I’m healthy n living life, I’ll be fine. This should be fun being able to drop off and pick my kids up for the 1st time consistently in 12 years.” He goes on to express to his fans that he will be okay financially, that football was just one of his business endeavors and that he is in good spirits. Then he changed his Twitter bio to “Unemployed Black Guy” to lighten the mood.
I’m glad Chad is in good spirits. I actually like him. I liked T.O. too though but we all know how that turned out. For some reason Chad has always seemed as the “smarter” one of the two so I suspect he’ll be okay.
