Imagine going on a first date, and you lose $10,000!
Well, according to rapper Offset, that’s what he did on his first date with his now-wife, Cardi B.
On Tuesday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! Offset recalled the time he took his wife on their first date to Super Bowl LI.
“My first date, I went big,” Offset said. “I wanted to do something that was not normally done; you know what I’m saying? I want to have fun and not so serious and, like, you know, enjoyable time, so I took her to the Super Bowl.”
In February 2017, Offset and Cardi B attended Super Bowl LI, which featured Offset’s favorite NFL team, the Atlanta Falcons, taking on the New England Patriots.
“I think we were up by 20 points … Then Tom Brady with the Superman, whatever powers he be having, then he ended us. I lost $10,000 that night, too,” Offset said. “You know what I won? My wife.
Awww, how cute; he lost his $10k but gained a wife in the end.
