One Win to Tie, Two to Beat: The Golden State Warriors vs. San Antonio Spurs – blogged by @MsJennyb

The Golden State Warriors will continue their historical run tonight at 8pm against the San Antonio Spurs. While they attempt to break the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls single-season wins record, the Spurs look to remain unbeaten at home. In order to break the Bulls record, the Warriors will need to beat the Spurs tonight and the Memphis Grizzles again on Wednesday night at home. A split between the two games will tie the two teams, the Warriors and Bulls, with a 72-10 record.

According to ESPN, The Warriors have a 32 percent chance of breaking the record, however, with a win tonight that shoots up to 91 percent.

The Warriors have the opportunity to knock down a few records, with this win. A win tonight, will give the Warriors 34 wins away from home this season, which is one more than the 1995-96 Bulls. The team will also become the first to finish an entire season without losing back-to-back games. Finally, if the Warriors win, they will finish without losing to the same opponent twice.

However, the Spurs are chasing a few milestones of their own. The San Antonio team is trying to become the first team to finish a perfect season at home. They would need to win tonight and on Tuesday, against the Oklahoma City Thunder. If they win one game, and lose the other the Spurs will tie with the 1985-86 Boston Celtics with 40 wins at home.

Who do you want to win tonight?
