Oprah Winfrey is expanding her media empire once again after securing a major new partnership with Amazon that will bring several of her signature brands under one roof.
The entertainment icon has signed an exclusive multiyear agreement with Amazon that includes her podcast, book club, favorite products franchise, and classic television catalog. Under the deal, Amazon’s Wondery podcast network will oversee video and audio distribution, along with ad-sales rights, for “The Oprah Podcast” across multiple platforms.
The agreement also gives Amazon rights to “Oprah’s Book Club,” “Oprah’s Favorite Things,” and the full archive of “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” which spans 25 seasons. Financial terms of the arrangement were not disclosed.
Beginning this summer, “The Oprah Podcast” will expand from one weekly episode to two. Starting in July, Wondery will distribute the show across Prime Video, Amazon Music, Fire TV Channels, and Audible. The podcast will also remain available on YouTube and other major podcast platforms.
Winfrey shared her excitement about the partnership in a statement.
“Hosting this podcast allows me to continue the work I feel called to do — opening the door for conversations that matter. The kind of conversations that remind us we’re not alone, and invite us to see ourselves and one another more clearly. Expanding our reach globally is an opportunity I embrace, as we continue to connect through stories that invite new ways of seeing and, hopefully, deepen understanding.”
Amazon executive Steve Boom also praised the collaboration.
“Oprah Winfrey has built one of the most iconic, timeless brands in the world, spanning television, publishing, and beyond,” he said. “Through this collaboration with Harpo Entertainment, we are bringing her voice to more people and expanding how her audiences engage with Oprah in ways only Amazon can deliver.”
Launched in December 2024, “The Oprah Podcast” features conversations with cultural leaders, bestselling authors, and public figures including Serena Williams, Hugh Jackman, Kate Hudson, and Jeremy Allen White.
