Pamela Anderson Says #MeToo Movement “Paralyzes Men:” “My Mother Taught Me Don’t Go Into A Hotel With A Stranger”

Ex-playmate Pamela Anderson is under fire after making controversial remarks about the #MeToo movement.

Anderson discussed her thoughts on feminism during a “60 Minutes Australia” interview. While referring to her time modeling for “Playboy,” she mentioned how comfortable she was about her actions. “I think (“Playboy”) was very empowering and no one forced me to do anything,” she said. “I think this feminism can go too far – I’m a feminist but I think that this third wave feminism is a bore, I think it paralyzes men I think that this Me Too movement is a bit too much for me. I’m sorry; I’ll probably get killed for saying that.”

When asked about #HarveryWeinstein she highlighted specific lessons her mother taught her. “My mother taught me don’t go into a hotel with a stranger, and if someone answers the door in a bathrobe and it’s supposed to be a business meeting, maybe I should go with somebody else,” she said. “You’re talking about Harvey Weinstein?” the interviewer asked her. “Yeah, I think that some things are just common sense. Or if you go, in get the job,” she said, laughing. “I’m Canadian I’m going to speak my mind okay? I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m not politically correct, maybe.”

While her take may be somewhat opposite of the feminist movement, Anderson has spoken out about issues that matter to women like the dangers of ridesharing apps and pornography.
