The common household cleaner has proved itself effective against the coronavirus, and unlike the Clorox wipes, the liquid-based cleaning solution, for now, isn’t sold out everywhere.

The Clorox Company—maker of Pine-Sol Original Multi-Surface Cleaner, was given the green light by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to add its product to the list of products and brands that successfully combat the virus.

According to Good House Keeping, the product has been listed under 5813-101 with the name Tuck 3 with the active ingredient of glycolic acid on EPA’s website of approved cleaning products.

PEOPLE reports that Pine-Sol was tested in a third-party laboratory, where it was tested and proved effective against SARS-Cov-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19) with a “ten-minute contact time on hard, non-porous surfaces,” ABC7 News reports.

The EPA advises users of listed disinfectants should follow label instructions “for safe, effective use,” including the amount of time surface should be visibly wet with the product.

“Pine-Sol Original Multi-Surface Cleaner now offers the clean families have trusted through generations with the protection they need right now against the spread of SARS-Cov-2, the virus that causes COVID-19,” vice president and general manager of the cleaning division at Clorox, Chris Hyder, said in a statement.

“We hope this new Pine-Sol kill claim will increase access to disinfectants that can help prevent the spread of COVID-19,” he added.
