A video that spread quickly online has led to an arrest in Atlanta. According to Channel 2 Action News, a man identified as Dominique surrendered to police after a warrant was issued on an aggravated sodomy charge, and he is reportedly being held without bond. He is accused in connection with a Facebook Live video that appeared to show a woman named Jasmine being sexually assaulted inside the Opera nightclub. The charge is an allegation, and Baller Alert did not find a public statement from him.
Atlanta Police Special Victims Unit investigators are still working the case. Officer Jarius Daugherty told Channel 2 Action News that the department received calls from people who saw the video on Facebook Live on January 19. Some days later, police announced they had identified the man seen in the video and made contact with him.
Now a second woman is speaking out. Channel 2 Action News reports that she has not been named publicly. She told the station she met Dominique on social media last September and went on one date with him. She said she began to feel woozy and knew she could not drive, and that when she woke up she was in his bed and believed something was terribly wrong.
The second woman is cooperating with police. Dominique has not been charged in connection with her claims.
