Rapper Pooh Shiesty has reportedly been moved to a halfway house.

DJ Akademiks first reported the news, sharing that he was out of prison and in a transitional home but would soon be released into society. Shiesty, who made a major impact on the rap scene with his hit “Back in Blood” featuring Lil Durk, began serving a five-year federal sentence in 2022 for firearms charges. After being sentenced to 63 months in prison, his release was initially expected around mid-2027, factoring in time served and possible sentence reductions.

Reentry programs offer structured environments that help inmates reintegrate into the community through job opportunities and personal development. Being placed in a halfway house typically marks the final stage of an inmate’s sentence. As of now, Shiesty’s team has not spoken out.

Despite his incarceration, Shiesty has kept his presence felt in the music industry. He stayed in touch with fellow artists, maintaining his influence in hip-hop. Shiesty’s debut album “Shiesty Season” topped the Billboard Hip-Hop charts in 2021, and a deluxe version featuring Lil Uzi Vert, G Herbo, Lil Baby, and 21 Savage followed shortly after.
