50 Cent has made yet another major move through a new partnership with Lionsgate to launch his own channel.
The ad-supported “FAST” channel will be called 50 Cent Action. It will be free for users and include several titles from Lionsgate’s library. Movies such as “The Expendables,” “The Hitman’s Bodyguard,” and “Rambo” will be included on 50 Cent Action. Additionally, the “Power” franchise will be available at no cost to those who want to catch up on the criminal enterprise of Ghost and his crew. Lionsgate president of worldwide television distribution Jim Packer praised the move and promised to bring the blockbusters to the mini network.
“50 Cent’s movies and television series are synonymous with non-stop action, and we’re thrilled to extend our longstanding partnership into the FAST space,” Packer said in a statement on Thursday.
Lionsgate’s FAST channels have skyrocketed recently, including Ebony TV and MovieSphere. However, 50 is confident that his platform will soon become one of the biggest, considering the catalog he plans to offer. Similar to Tubi, these channels don’t have any fees and depend on advertising.
“Give me one year, and I’ll be ranked the highest FAST channel,” the 49-year-old shared during his July 31st piece with The Hollywood Reporter.
50 has also hinted that forthcoming “BMF” spin-offs and original shows will also be available on the streamer channel. It’s not immediately clear when 50 Cent Action will launch.
