Music mogul and businessman 50 Cent says he was paying $800 with $38 million in his bank account at one point in his career.

While most of us know Fif as the rap star from Queens, but through the years, he’s grown into a mega business icon, locking in deals with mega-brands like Vitamin Water, Reebok and more. He’s even stepped into the TV and film industry with hit projects including “Get Rich or Die Tryin'” and Power.

Mr. Jackson says that with all his fame, he never minded living a regular life. During an interview with Brian J. Roberts, he explained how he had millions in the bank but opted to pay $800 a month to live in a two-bedroom apartment.

“My first run, the Rock The Mic tour, I came back, I had $38 million in my account,” 50 explained. “And all I had was a two-bedroom apartment that was $800 a month. So if you don’t spend it, you know the IRS is gonna take it. So I needed the expenses. So I ended up buying Mike Tyson’s home in Farmington.”

Do you think you’d be able to live the typical everyday life with millions in the bank?
