A$AP Rocky is taking the lead in Spike Lee’s new crime drama Highest 2 Lowest.
While many assumed Denzel Washington would star in the lead role, a new report from Billboard confirms that Rocky will be front and center.
The film, announced in February 2024, has fans buzzing, especially with the reunion of Lee and Washington after two decades.
“The main role is A$AP Rocky,” Lee confirmed at the 2024 Red Sea International Film Festival. “People will see when it comes out. It’s dynamite.”
Rocky’s role in Highest 2 Lowest won’t be his first time on the big screen. The rapper-turned-actor made his feature film debut in Dope (2015) and has since turned in memorable performances in Zoolander 2 (2016) and Monster (2018).
