André 3000 is about to level up.
The Outkast legend will be honored with an honorary Doctor of Music degree from Berklee College of Music during their 2025 commencement at Boston University’s Agganis Arena on May 10.
The school is saluting him for his major impact on music and culture over the years.
This comes right after the big news that Dre and Big Boi are being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, a well-deserved moment for the duo that put Southern rap on the map.
Outkast changed the game, stacked up six Grammys, and made sure Atlanta had a permanent seat at the hip-hop table.
Berklee’s weekend celebration kicks off May 9 with a tribute concert featuring over 200 student performers, all showing love to the honorees with a night of music.
From Atlanta to the Ivy League stage, André 3000 keeps proving greatness don’t come with limits, just flutes, vibes, and legendary moves.
