WNBA star Angel Reese offered some straight-shooting dating advice to Kiyan Anthony, son of NBA legend Carmelo Anthony, and media correspondent Lala Anthony.
The young NBA prospect’s popularity is on the rise, and Reese sat down with him during her “Unapologetically Angel” show to discuss the realities of life in the spotlight. She offered him a crucial tip on handling female fans once he gets into professional basketball.
“You need to be careful because when you go to the league—even when you’re in college—you need to be careful with these women,” Reese cautioned him.
Kiyan, who’s no stranger to the celebrity world, replied confidently: “I’m already knowing.” But Reese pressed on, specifically warning him about the potential intentions of older women. “It’s the women you got to worry about that be a lot older,” she added.
Her advice comes at a pivotal time for Kiyan, who is currently deciding between Auburn, Syracuse, and USC for college. His presence as a top recruit is sure to draw more attention. As he prepares for this next step, he shared that his parents have also given him relationship advice.
“With girls and stuff, they be telling me, like, ‘You gotta chill,’” he admitted.
Kiyan plans on keeping a tight circle, even hosting parties at his place, to which Reese quickly responded, “You can’t be having anybody over there,” before adding a no-nonsense rule: “And you tell them girls to drop their phone at the door.” She even suggested he might need to have guests sign NDAs to protect himself.
Meanwhile, Reese has also been in the spotlight, with her podcast going viral recently after Shaquille O’Neal made a controversial suggestion about her dunking abilities. Speaking on Reese’s show, O’Neal advocated for lowering WNBA rims to encourage more dunks, saying, “Imagine you in the same li’l shorts you had on at the “Wild ‘N Out” show dunking. You know how many T-shirts you gonna sell? You trippin’.”
