Angel Reese has officially invested in the DC Power Football Club, joining the ranks of other athletes who also own a stake in sports teams.
This move diversifies the Chicago Sky rookie’s investments and aligns with her growing influence in women’s sports. On Tuesday, the basketball star was announced as one of the team’s founding owners.
“Women investing in women. Welcome DC Power FC Co-Owner,” the team wrote in the caption of an Instagram post dedicated to Reese.
DC Power is one of eight teams that will compete in the inaugural season of the USL Super League, which will begin in August. With Reese being one of the faces of the WNBA, there is certainly quite a bit of expertise that she can bring to the soccer league. Other athletes have taken similar career leaps, which have proven to be quite lucrative.
