R&B Icon Anita Baker has announced that she will be kicking off her U.S tour in 2023 in celebration of the 40th anniversary of her debut album, The Songstress. She will hit arenas across North America with her soulful, classic hits.
“Looking forward to some crazy, lovely, hang time with my fans, on tour in 2023,” said Anita in a press release.
This will be her first performance and tour since she won the rights to all of her music
“2023 coming straight to YOU. This time…With *My Own* catalog. sO Grateful,” said Anita.
She previously encouraged her fans not to stream her songs until she rightfully obtained her catalog.
Baker later gave the green light for fans to continue streaming her songs, tweeting, “Yes chil’ren, stream on.”
The tour will kick off in Hollywood, Florida, and continue to 14 other cities, including Oakland, California, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Chicago, Detroit, and Atlanta. Tickets will go on sale on November 17th at 10 a.m.
