Amid LeBron James’ long list of basketball accomplishments, the living NBA legend is making big moves in his transition from player to powerhouse producer.
With several projects already in the works, such as HBO’s “The Shop,” and “Student Athlete,” Starz’s “Warriors of Liberty City,” ABC’s “White Dave,” NBC’s “The Wall,” and Showtime’s recently announced, “Shut Up and Dribble,” James is looking to add, yet, another project to his producer resume.
According to Variety, James is set to executive produce a competition series, titled, “Million Dollar Mile,” which has just scored a series order at CBS. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The game show gives contestants the chance to win $1 million every time they run the Million Dollar Mile. But, the catch is, there is a challenging course ahead, with a group of elite athletes on a mission to stop them at all costs.

“LeBron represents the epitome of strength, vision and determination – all skills one will need to complete this one-of-a-kid course where every runner has a chance to win $1,000,000,” senior VP of alternative at CBS Entertainment, Sharon Vuong said. “Couple that with Allison [Grodner] and Rich’s [Meehan, of ‘Big Brother’] unrivaled skill for storytelling and game, and we feel like we have a championship-caliber team.”
