Antonio Brown is firing back at headlines and setting the record straight—his way.
The former NFL star and current rap figure took to social media after being named in a warrant for attempted murder, tied to a Miami shooting involving Zul-Qarnain Kwame Nantambu, a performer and activist who made waves during the Super Bowl LIX halftime show by waving a “Free Gaza” and “Free Sudan” flag on stage.
While the media ran with the protest angle, AB is letting folks know it’s way deeper than that. According to Brown, the man wasn’t just a protester—he was a long-time stalker with a criminal history involving theft, assault, and threats against him.
In a X post, AB wrote:
“That guy is a fraud, liar, stalker & criminal… He was arrested in 2022 for stealing 6 figures of jewelry from me. Then showed up at my show at Rolling Loud 2023 trying to assault me. In May, he snuck into an event, came right up to me trying to steal from me and threaten my life.”
Brown also added that the media has painted a “false picture” of what went down, saying he was fighting for his life the night shots were fired outside a boxing event in Miami’s Little Haiti neighborhood. Nantambu was reportedly grazed in the neck by a bullet, and now authorities are saying Brown pulled the trigger.
Here’s What Went Down:
- Super Bowl LIX: Protester (and performer) Zul-Qarnain Nantambu waved a political flag on stage with Kendrick Lamar’s halftime set and was removed from the stadium.
- The Miami Shooting: A few months earlier, Nantambu was allegedly shot near a Miami venue while AB was present. Authorities are now connecting that incident to Brown.
- The Warrant: Antonio Brown is currently wanted on attempted murder charges, with a $10K bond and conditions including house arrest if he turns himself in.
But Brown says this wasn’t random. He’s claiming self-defense, saying this man had already threatened him before and shouldn’t have even been at the event.
No official statement yet from Nantambu or his legal team.
