Over the weekend, former NFL standout Antonio Brown found himself in custody in Broward County, Florida, reportedly for failing to pay child support to one of his children’s mothers, Local 10 News on Monday. Jail records from the Broward Sheriff’s Office revealed that the 35-year-old was booked around midnight on Sunday, pursuant to an out-of-county warrant.
He was released on a $15,000 bond.
Wiltrice Jackson, the mother of one of Antonio Brown’s children, spoke to TMZ, saying the ex-football player owes nearly $31,000 in child support.
According to TMZ, the court had previously ordered the arrest of Brown for missing child support payments. However, there has been no progress in the case since the court’s ruling in August.
This is reportedly the second time a judge has issued an order against Brown.
“I do want him arrested,” Jackson said. “Because, right now, he’s making a mockery out of the judge, out of everything, because he feels like he’s untouchable.”
