Ari Lennox is done with interviews after being asked a sexually inappropriate question during an appearance on a podcast.
The “Pressure” singer sat down for a recent interview with the Podcast and Chill show hosted by South African podcaster MacGyver “MacG” Mukwevho. During the chat, things quickly took an awkward turn when MacG asked Lennox, “Is someone fucking you good right now?” The singer immediately expressed her disdain with the question.
“That’s a wild question. Why ask it that way?” Lennox asked, clearly taken aback by the question.
It didn’t take long for the clip to go viral on social media, which caused the 30-year-old to vent about the encounter on Twitter. She also lashed out at others who were present on the Zoom call but failed to speak up in her defense.
“Why was I alone on a call full of people? Why didn’t anyone intervene? And why wasn’t parts of the interview destroyed like the team promised? Why did it happen to begin with? I just feel slow and ambushed and blindsighted,” Lennox tweeted.

In one of her follow-up tweets, she clarified that just because she embraces sex in her music doesn’t mean she should be asked inappropriate questions during interviews.

MacG has not directly responded to the immense backlash he’s faced for asking the singer about her sex life, but he has retweeted multiple tweets making light of the situation.

Many fans of the show are also from South Africa and slammed the podcast guest for her response to MacG. Lennox fired back, promising never to visit the country.
