Ariana Grande maintains she is still “clean” of Botox, despite a recent joke that suggested otherwise.

The singer recently addressed rumors sparked by a lighthearted comment during the 36th annual Palm Springs International Film Awards. While accepting the Rising Star award, she jokingly credited Botox and Juvederm—two popular injectables—as her “friends” for helping her maintain a youthful appearance.
“You don’t know how much it means to me,” she said. “I’ve been performing since I was a child, so I never thought at the age of 31 I would be hearing the words ‘rising star’ again, so I wanted to start by thanking my two friends: Botox and Juvederm,” she quipped.
However, the singer quickly clarified to Entertainment Tonight that she was just joking.
“Oh my gosh,” she laughed. “My joke. My bit. I’m still clean. I’m clean. But when I start going again, I will let you know. I mean it.” Grande emphasized her commitment to transparency, particularly as a beauty founder. “I really want to be transparent as a beauty founder,” she shared. “As a founder of R.E.M. Beauty, I think it’s important to have transparency. I love [Botox], but I am still four years clean.”
Grande’s comments reflect her broader perspective on society’s obsession with beauty standards. In a recent interview, she expressed frustration over the constant judgment of her appearance. “I’ve heard every version of it, of what’s wrong with me,” she said, adding that people’s comfort in commenting on others’ looks can be harmful. “It’s dangerous for all parties involved,” she warned.
