ASAP Rocky has reportedly been arrested in Stockholm, Sweden on suspicion of aggravated assault in connection to a street brawl that was caught on camera.
According to BBC, Rocky and three other people were arrested late Tuesday night following a performance at the “Smash” festival in Stockholm.
Sweden’s Prosecution Authority said Rocky, real name Rakim Mayers, is one of four people who’ve been arrested, and of the other three, two are suspected of aggravated assault and one of assault.
The video, which was published online by TMZ, appeared to show Rocky punching another man in the street. However, Rocky also posted videos of his own, showing two men following him before the fight. In fact, in the videos on Rocky’s Instagram, he and his entourage can repeatedly be heard telling the men to stop following them.
In the video, Rocky called the men “drug addicts,” and in the caption, Rocky described them as “not my fans.” The rapper claimed the men had been following him for four blocks and had also been harassing him, as well as “slapping girls’ butts” as they passed by on the street. In another video, the rapper accused one of the men of hitting his security guard “in the face with headphones.”
Coincidentally, one of the men is accusing Rocky and his team of breaking his headphones.
According to News agency AFP -the Swedish authorities have until Saturday to decide whether to formally take action against the rapper.
ASAP Rocky is due to headline Wireless Festival in London on Sunday.
