Ashanti is the latest celeb to test positive for COVID-19. Due to the R&B singer testing positive, the VERZUZ battle with Keyshia Cole has been postponed. The ladies were scheduled to battle face to face Saturday night (Dec. 12).
The songstress took to her Instagram and announced the diagnosis around 6 pm. “Hey y’all I can’t believe I’m saying this but I tested positive for COVID-19. I’m ok and not in any pain. I’m actually down to do the verzuz from my house…we’re trying to figure it all out!!!
Ashanti went on her Instagram Live and stated that she tested positive on Friday after being in contact with a family member who also tested positive. She stated that she is not in any pain and does not have a fever, but she does have a cough, no sense of smell or taste.
The VERZUZ battle has been rescheduled, and the new date was announced for January 9th.
