Azealia Banks Calls Doechii a “DEI Hire” in Latest Twitter Rant: “She Does Nothing for Me”

Azealia Banks has gone on another rant, this time targeting Doechii, even referring to her as a “DEI hire.”

The rapper aimed at Doechii as she was in the middle of going off about another artist who is allegedly “f**kin’ for beats.” A fan chimed in and asked, “Ok but can you agree Doechii is one of the hardest rappers out there?” This seemingly set off the “Luxury” performer, who quickly argued that Doechii was far from talented.

“Absolutely not. Lmao. She got Def Jam poetry slam newyorican cafe music/TDE writing camp shit. It’s giving DEI hire. Everybody has convinced themselves she’s good because she’s dark-skinned and if u tell the truth and admit she’s boring – ur automatically colorist or whatever,” Banks shockingly stated.

She continued, firing at the “Alter Ego” star’s appearance and suggesting that other Black women in the industry deserved Doechii’s current popularity.

“She looks horrible in them outfits, the hyperpigmentation around her coochie and butt is SO CRUNCHY but she loooove showing it lmao. Honestly, all this sympathy accolades she’s getting could have gone to ASIAN DOLL. Asian Doll is dark skinned and gorgeous and her music is fire and Asian been hot for a MINUTE. The girls don’t wanna give her her 10’s cause they’re all jealous of her she’s f**king FAB,” one tweet read.

This is not Banks’ first time speaking negatively about Doechii. She previously called the rapper a “wannabe,” alluding to the Florida rapper imitating her. 

“Like how did hip hop really overlook Cupcakke and Asian Doll for Ice Spice and Doechii??? Be serious yall come on. I’m definitely a hater but I’m not a liar. I’m not gonna lie to you and tell u Doechii got one song that isn’t some corny Issa Rae playlist black girl magic algorithm unexcitingness,” Banks continued. “She does nothing for me. Someone at TDE sucked some dick for that Grammy nom because no one knows any of them songs lol. Plus I really f**k with Flo Milli too.  Plenty of fabulous dark-skinned girls getting overlooked for not being ugly enough to give sympathy support.”

Doechii has not responded to this strong negativity aimed her way. However, judging by her fiery bars, Banks may have her work cut out for the Gator if she chooses to.
