On Sept. 18, 2004, Terror Squad’s hit song ‘Lean Back’ peaked at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Rap Songs chart for the 6th week in a row.

Released as the second single of the group’s album ‘True Story’, ‘Lean Back’ featured verses from rappers Fat Joe and Remy Ma. With an authentic New York vibe and produced by none other than the iconic Scott Storch, the song was bound to be an instant club banger.

For 12 weeks, the song maintained its No. 1 spot on the Hot Rap Songs chart. On August 21, the song peaked at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100, where it remained for three weeks.

In 2008, VH1 marked the hit as #55 on its ‘100 Greatest Hip Hop Songs’ list.
