Two people connected to Suge Knight have been indicted over the release of video tied to his murder case, according to Variety.
Knight was arrested and charged with murder nearly two years ago after a fatal hit and run that killed one man and injured another. Variety reports that Knight’s girlfriend, Toi-Lin, and his business partner, Mark, have now been indicted. Prosecutors allege they sold surveillance video of the incident to TMZ for $55,000. Prosecutors say the video was evidence in the murder case and that its release was prohibited.
According to Variety, Toi-Lin pleaded not guilty last week to counts of conspiracy to obstruct justice, conspiracy to violate a court order and conspiracy to commit grand theft. Mark is still awaiting arraignment on the same charges.
If convicted, the two face up to three years in prison. An indictment is an accusation, and both are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
