Barack Obama: The Man, The Myth, The Legend

Never in a million years would I have imagined to see a presidential race in which Id have something in common with both democratic nominees. One being a woman & the other an african american. However, as a strong African American, I can empathize more with presidential hopeful, Barack Obama. When I hear his name, I instantly think of change, charisma, poise, leadership, just to name a few.

He encompasses all the major attributes of Dr. King, Malcolm X, Marcus Garvey & the rest of his predecessors’. I have no doubt in my mind that he’s the right person for the job. Granted everyone has a history, and his might not be the cleanest, but we’re in the present, & that’s the only thing I’m living for right now. We as Americans, no matter the creed or color, need change. It won’t happen overnight, but at least WHEN he gets into office (ladies, I’m speaking it into existence), he can effectively & strategically begin his mission. A mission in my eyes built on the fundamentals of success.

A strong support system is a must. He has all that & more in his family, and community. I hear time in & time out, IF YOU DON’T STAND FOR SOMETHING, YOU WILL FALL FOR ANYTHING. I’m glad he is stepping out on faith & will be the voice of the people.

I must add, Michelle Obama is a lucky woman. Ladies, who wouldn’t want to arrive in style with a man like Barack Obama at your side? He’s educated, intellectual, and not to mention, a sex symbol.
