Beyoncé treated fans to an unforgettable halftime performance during Netflix’s first-ever NFL Christmas Gameday as the Houston Texans took on the Baltimore Ravens at NRG Stadium. Now, the highly anticipated performance, dubbed the Beyoncé Bowl, will be available to stream as a standalone special on Netflix later this week.
The show, produced by Beyoncé’s Parkwood Entertainment and Jesse Collins Entertainment, was held in her hometown of Houston, Texas, and showcased the first live performances of songs from her acclaimed album Cowboy Carter. The record-breaking project recently earned Beyoncé 11 Grammy nominations, making it the most-nominated album ever by a female artist.
The 12-minute set featured a mix of music, fashion, and cultural tributes, with Beyoncé performing tracks like “16 Carriages,” “Blackbiird,” “American Requiem,” and the fan-favorite “Texas Hold ‘Em.” Special guests included Post Malone, Shaboozey, Reyna Roberts, and Brittney Spencer, while Blue Ivy Carter, Beyoncé’s eldest daughter, joined as a featured dancer. Adding to the local flavor, Texas Southern University’s Ocean of Soul Marching Band delivered their signature sound and high-energy choreography.
Beyoncé also celebrated Western and Rodeo culture during the performance, inviting trailblazing figures like bull-riding legend Myrtis Dightman Jr. and Ja’Dayia Kursh, the first Black Rodeo Queen in Arkansas. Local leaders and Texans cheerleaders rounded out the impressive lineup, making the performance a true hometown affair.
Beyoncé has a history of delivering standout NFL halftime shows, including her 2013 Super Bowl appearance with Destiny’s Child and her 2016 collaboration with Coldplay and Bruno Mars. The Beyoncé Bowl special offers fans a chance to relive her latest NFL moment on Netflix.
