Bhad Bhabie, the rapper and internet personality born Danielle Bregoli, is facing serious heat from American Express. The credit card giant has filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles County Superior Court, claiming the 22-year-old owes $674,452.40 in unpaid charges and fees.
According to court documents filed July 2nd, American Express extended credit to Bregoli in April 2021 for purchases and cash advances. In the filing, the company stated: “Plaintiff extended credit to Defendant…for purchases and/or cash advances by Defendants and/or persons acting with Defendants’ permission.” The agreement required Bregoli to repay “all charges, fees, and interest… by paying the balance in full every month or by making monthly payments.”
However, American Express alleges the payments stopped on or around December 19th, 2024. With no response or repayment, they’re now pursuing legal action to recover the full balance due.
The timing is noteworthy, as it follows Bregoli’s highly publicized earnings on OnlyFans. In 2024, she shared screenshots reportedly showing $71 million in gross revenue, with $57 million in net earnings. She joined the platform in April 2021, the same month her Amex account was opened. Of her earnings, $32 million reportedly came from direct messages alone, with another $24 million from subscriptions.
Neither Bregoli nor her representatives have publicly addressed the lawsuit, and American Express has yet to comment further.
Whether this is a simple financial oversight or signs of deeper issues, Bhad Bhabie might be facing more than just social media backlash this time; it could be a costly courtroom battle.
