Big Sean isn’t staying quiet this time.
The rapper jumped into the comment section of NoSkipstea’s Instagram page to shut down rumors claiming he was spotted with a new girlfriend.
After a video went viral showing him standing next to a mystery woman, Sean set the record straight. “Yeah unfortunately I never met this person in my life lol,” he wrote on Thursday, addressing what he called fake news.
He went on to explain exactly what fans saw in the clip, saying, “This girl was standing next to @hitboy who is cut out the video. I don’t know why the fuck she was so close to me though. I didn’t see it at all til I saw this video and can understand the frustrations. Smh. But I don’t even know this person at all.”
The post quickly spread across social media, fueling rumors that Sean had already moved on from Jhene Aiko. But he made it clear the woman was simply in the frame and not connected to him in any way.
Breakup rumors between Sean and Jhene started last week after a report claimed they split because he wasn’t ready for marriage.
The couple, who first connected in 2016 after releasing their joint project Twenty88, welcomed their son Noah in 2022.
In a 2024 interview with Charlamagne tha God, Sean shared that while he sees marriage as meaningful, he values a strong relationship first. He also mentioned that marriage isn’t ruled out for him and Jhene, they just haven’t taken that step yet.
While neither Big Sean or Jhene Aiko has officially denied the split rumors, it’s clear from Sean’s comments that he doesn’t have a new girlfriend either.
