A Black man has been shot and killed outside of a church in North Carolina.
Officials in High Point said police responded to a call outside Living Water Baptist Church around 3:30 pm on Sunday.
Responding officers said they found a man dead and others suffering from “minor injuries.”
“Upon arrival on the scene, officers located one deceased Black male,” according to a press release. “Officers also located a few other victims suffering from minor injuries.”
The victim has not been identified, and there is no information on who the gunman is.
Investigators said they’re still speaking to witnesses and conducting “searches of any people, vehicles, or places that may contain evidence of the crime.”
“For those reasons, no additional information will be released at this time related to this incident, which includes any victim/suspect information and details specific to the active investigation,” the press release said.
The church has been holding Sunday service outside, but it is not clear if he was shot during a service.
