The rapper, 28, was released from California State Prison in Los Angeles on Monday and marked the moment with a video on Instagram showing him back at home. His mother, Karlissa Saffold Harvey, had been teasing his return for weeks. Last month, she told TMZ the family was getting ready for his homecoming, complete with a limo and the kids.
“I have the coming home party,” she told the outlet. Make sure you guys get your tickets for the celebrity Blueface coming home party.
Blueface’s father also hinted at the timing with a cryptic message posted the day before his release.
“Today is the end of a chapter in my family’s life,” he wrote online. “Tomorrow is the beginning of a new chapter in my family’s life. Can’t wait.”
The California performer turned himself in last January for violating his probation in connection with the 2021 assault of a club bouncer. Last August, he was sentenced to four years in prison. The rapper served 21 months of his sentence before being released on Monday.
In his Instagram post, he stated that he would be locking his Instagram after 24 hours, creating a “secret society” of sorts.
