Boosie is trying to put one more legal headache behind him. The Baton Rouge rapper took to Twitter on Sunday, August 4th, to announce a big move in his ongoing battle with the feds. “JUST ACCEPTED A PLEA FROM THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ON MY GUN CASE,” he shared. “I THOUGHT THIS CASE WAS OVER N I WAS GOING TO GET ON WITH MY LIFE BUT ‘GOD DONT MAKE MISTAKES’ N IM TIRED OF FIGHTING.”
The decision didn’t come lightly, but Boosie says it’s the best move for him and his loved ones.
“TALKED TO MY FAMILY N THIS IS THE RIGHT DECISION,” he added. “TO ALL MY FANS ACROSS THE WORLD SAY A PRAYER FOR YA BOY N GO GET THE NEW ALBUM #wordsofarealone.”
Boosie’s legal saga stems from a 2023 arrest where he was charged as a felon in possession of a firearm. Though the charge was initially dismissed, prosecutors came back with a new indictment a year later, adding a drug-related charge to the mix.
What comes next for Boosie remains unclear, but he’s leaning on faith, family, and his fans to keep him going.
