“I never thought I’d see it like this,” Bow Wow, 37, admitted. Reflecting on Diddy’s longtime status as a key figure in the hip-hop world, Bow Wow explained that recent award weekends, especially the BET Awards and the BET Hip Hop Awards, have felt empty without Diddy’s famous celebrations. “He’s like the gatekeeper to the game. The last couple BET weekends just didn’t feel right—there was no motion, no parties,” Bow Wow said.

I told [my mentor] Jermaine Dupri, ‘There were no parties.’ You feel that absence; it’s like a hole in the scene,” he explained.
