Chile, Britney Spears is free and have a whole lot to say now. The pop princess took to her Instagram story to call out Christina Aguilera for “refusing to speak” about her conservatorship battle.
On Thursday, pop star Christina Aguilera was spotted on the red carpet at the Latin Grammy Awards. While interviewing, a reporter asked Christina if she’s been in contact with Britney following conservatorship termination. Before Aguilera could respond, her publicist interjects himself saying, “No, we’re not doing that tonight. I’m sorry.” Christina then tells the reporter she couldn’t answer the question then adds, “But I’m happy for her.”
This obviously didn’t sit well with Britney and she made that clear on Friday night. Spears posted the clip of Christina along with a message.
“I love and adore everyone who supported me… but refusing to speak when you know the truth, is equivalent to a lie !!!! 13 years being in a corrupt abusive system yet why is it such a hard topic for people to talk about ??? I’m the one who went through it !!!! All the supporters who spoke up and supported me, thank you… yes I do matter !!!!!”

Many have stated Christina purposely avoided the question she was asked about Britney while others came to her defense. Aguilera may not have answered the reporter’s question but she did speak out about Spears’s situation back in June. “These past few days I’ve been thinking about Britney and everything she is going through. It is unacceptable that any woman, or human, wanting to be in control of their own destiny might not be allowed to live life as they wish,” Aguilera tweets.
