Britney Spears is now considering reconciling with her father, Jamie Spears, despite her previous desire to see him jailed over her conservatorship, TMZ reports.
Sources say after her recent breakup with Sam Asghari, Britney has expressed interest in repairing her relationship with her father. Given Jamie’s health issues and hospitalizations over the past months, Britney wants to avoid the regret of delaying reconciliation.
Several months ago, Jamie was hospitalized under suspicion of kidney issues. The actual problem, however, was linked to his knees. Having undergone knee replacement surgery 16 years ago, he unexpectedly developed a severe infection in that area.
Jamie is scheduled for another surgery on Friday, during which doctors will address the metal components in his knees and attempt to eliminate the infection. During this period, he has lost over 25 pounds and appears noticeably thin.
According to TMZ, Britney’s brother, Bryan, informed her of their dad’s condition.
After learning about Britney’s interest in reconciliation on Tuesday, sources say Jamie was brought great joy despite past conflicts.
