Back in March, Buffalo Bills wide receiver #ZayJones was arrested for felony vandalism after a naked, bloody incident in a Los Angeles Penthouse.
TMZ Sports broke the story and shared the video, which showed the 23-year-old in a strange butt-naked struggle with his own brother before he crashed into the 30th-floor window, in an attempt to jump out.
Though Jones was arrested on felony charges, prosecutors decided against taking the case due to “insufficient evidence.” Now, five months later, Jones is grateful to be back on the football field. But most of all, he’s “grateful” for life after the incident. He says the entire ordeal nearly killed him.
”I’m grateful,” Jones said when asked how thankful he is to continue his career in the league. “You know, I could have lost my life. So I’m grateful to just be here, to be on this field and to be with my teammates.”

“I don’t think there is any other word that describes it but just thankful and grateful,” he continued. “You’re gonna face adversity in life. Sometimes, life is gonna knock you down or things are not going to go the way that you planned or hoped, but you gotta pick yourself up and you gotta keep moving forward.”

“In no way am I gonna feel sorry for myself,” Jones continued. “There’s people out here in far worse situations than mine, dealing with real-life issues, battling through things, losing loved ones and things like that. So I have no excuse, just to pick myself and keep moving forward.”
