Faizon Love took a shot at Jay-Z’s past as a drug dealer, and Cam’ron quickly came to Hov’s defense.
On the Hip-Hop Uncensored podcast, comedian Faizon Love said he’s a fan of Jay’s music but doesn’t believe his stories about being a big-time drug dealer.
“I like Jay-Z. I like him as a guy and the whole thing he created about this fake dope dealing,” Faizon said. “That’s when I stopped liking him. This ni**a ain’t sold no cocaine in his life. I don’t think he’s ever won a fight.”
“There’s no stories of the other side,” he added. “Somebody going to bust you. Nobody ever sold you pancake? … All this sh*t sounds like an episode of Miami Vice.”
Jay-Z has stayed quiet on Faizon’s comments, but Cam’ron has come to his defense despite their differences.
“I know me and Hov haven’t had the best relationship, but Faizon don’t know what the fu*k he’s talking bout,” Cam’ron said in a caption on Instagram. “Weather legally or illegally ni**as got to it.”
After Cam’ron’s comments, Faizon hit back with a few memes of Cam’ron’s face at a pride parade with a flag that says “Cam’ron Loves Hov.” In response, Cam’ron posted a video of Faizon revealing that he’d like a role in the ” Empire” or” Brokeback Mountain” type movies. Cam captioned the video, “Faizon posted some memes of me gay. Which I’m not. But this ain’t a meme fat boy. This really u…,” he said, adding that he has no problem with the LGBTQ community.
