The Barbz might be standing by their leader, but Candiace Dillard Bassett is officially turning in her fan card.
The former Real Housewives of Potomac star is making headlines after using her Undomesticated Podcast to drag Nicki for her recent political pivot.
The drama follows Nicki’s surprise appearance at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest 2025, where she shared the stage with Erika Kirk, the widow of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, and showered the Trump administration with high praise.
Candiace and Nicki have a history that dates back to the Season 6 RHOP reunion, where the rapper guest-hosted and grilled the cast. Reflecting on that moment, Candiace admitted she felt shaded by the icon but chose to keep it professional out of respect for her artistry.
“I still lauded her as being one of the greatest in Hip-Hop, one of the first to blaze a trail for a lot of the newer age female Hip-Hop artists,” Candiace explained. However, she made it very clear that the Queen of rap has officially used up all her grace.
The podcast host didn’t hold back, letting listeners know exactly where she stands after seeing Nicki embrace the MAGA movement.
“I officially no longer give a f*ck, and she is now solidly categorized in the box of all skin folk and kin folk,” Candiace stated. She accused Nicki of being a “pick-me” and a “degenerate,” suggesting that the rapper has betrayed the very community that turned her into a global superstar.
The tension only increased as Candiace addressed the emotional toll of watching the rap legend align with figures she views as harmful to the Black community. Candiace voiced her frustration with the display, noting that it felt like a stab in the front from someone who was once an idol.
“It actually hurts me to have had to witness that display of monkeying around,” the reality star concluded, signaling a permanent end to her support.
While the internet is currently in an uproar over Nicki calling JD Vance an “assassin” during the event and her comments about California Governor Gavin Newsom, the Queen of Rap hasn’t breathed a word in response to Candiace.
As Nicki continues to lean into her new political era, it seems she’s losing some supporters along the way.
