Cardi B and 21 Savage lead the pack as top nominees for the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards, each earning an impressive 12 nominations. The two artists will go head-to-head in seven categories, including Best Collaboration, Lyricist of the Year, Hip-Hop Artist of the Year, Hustler of the Year, Best Hip-Hop Video, Sweet 16: Best Featured Verse, and Song of the Year.
Following closely behind is Drake, securing nine nominations, while Burna Boy and DJ Khaled both receive seven nods. J. Cole boasts six nominations, and Coi Leray, GloRilla, and Jay-Z each garnered five. Lil Uzi Vert earned four nominations, while DaBaby, Kendrick Lamar, Latto, Lil Durk, Megan Thee Stallion, and Metro Boomin each received three nods.
Remarkably, five female rappers are among the top nominees, with Cardi B leading the way, followed by Leray, GloRilla, Latto, and Megan Thee Stallion.
The awards show is set to be recorded in Atlanta on Tuesday, October 3, and will premiere on BET one week later, on Tuesday, October 10, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

The annual show will be overseen by Orlando, along with Jamal Noisette, BETās VP of Specials & Music Programming, Jesse Collins, CEO of Jesse Collins Entertainment, and Jeannae RouzanāClay and Dionne Harmon, top executives at Jesse Collins Entertainment.
BET promises that the telecast will pay tribute to 50 years of hip-hop with unforgettable moments and performances. Fans can start voting for DJ of the Year, Producer of the Year, and Best Hip-Hop Platform on Tuesday, September 12, at noon ET on the BET website, where more details about the awards can be found.
