After years of legal battles, Cardi B and Tasha K have finally reached an agreement on the $3.9 million defamation judgment.
A judge has signed off on Tasha’s payment plan, which will have her paying just under $1.2 million over the next five years as part of her bankruptcy filing. In exchange, Cardi has dropped her objections to the bankruptcy.
Under the deal, Tasha will have to hand over portions of her income until the full amount is paid. She’s also required to submit copies of her tax returns to Cardi’s legal team and file quarterly reports on her earnings.
On top of that, she’s officially barred from making any defamatory or derogatory comments about Cardi or her family.
This marks the end of a long-running feud that started in 2019 when Cardi sued Tasha for launching what she called a “malicious campaign” to ruin her career. Tasha spread wild claims about the rapper, accusing her of being a prostitute and having herpes.
After a court ruled in Cardi’s favor, Tasha tried to avoid paying by filing for bankruptcy.
Now, with this new payment plan in place, Tasha has no choice but to pay up and shut up.
