During a recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, the hosts gave Cardi B props for her fiery verse on “Magnet,” where she takes shots at JT. Budden added, “Whoever is writing these lines” deserves credit — and that’s when things got heated.

Cardi immediately fired back, shutting down the notion that the song was the work of a songwriter.
“Whoever wrote it?? Nah that’s CARDI.. this is my process…” Cardi tweeted before deleting the post. Along with her clapback, she uploaded a voice note from July 2024, showing herself crafting the lyrics and flow.
“I’m a natural roaster and you already know im quick with the mouth so I’ll be coming up with lines and I’ll record myself then lay it later,” she explained. “Don’t give me backhanded 10’s cuz I’ll always be able to prove my s**t.”
The verse in question was a pointed diss at JT, tied to the City Girls’ split. Cardi’s support of Yung Miami seemed to stir tension, adding to past friction between the two women.
