Cardi B is coming for what she’s owed.
According to documents obtained by RadarOnline, Cardi B has filed paperwork in Georgia to begin seizing property and assets owned by Youtuber Tasha K, who made defamatory claims about the rapper, including falsely accusing her of having herpes and being a prostitute.
As previously reported, the “Up” rapper won a $4 million defamation verdict against Tasha K aka Latasha Kebe after the jury sided with claims that the YouTuber waged a “malicious campaign” in an attempt to hurt Cardi’s reputation by sharing false information about her online.
Back in 2019, Cardi B, whose given name is Belcalis Almánzar, sued Kebe over videos posted on her channel that contained graphic claims about the rapper.
In January 2022, Kebe was held legally liable on three separate claims: defamation, invasion of privacy through portrayal in a false light, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. She was ordered to fork over $1 million in general damages and $250k for medical expenses for a grand total of $1.25 million. The YouTuber was also ordered to pay $1.5 million in punitive damages and another $1.3 million for Cardi’s attorney fees.
Tasha appealed the verdict and claimed she’d never pay up, but this isn’t stopping Cardi B from coming to collect.
RadarOnline reports that Cardi B also recently filed to garnish Tasha’s Chase Bank accounts to collect what she’s owed. The rapper has asked that the bank hold Tasha’s property, money, wages and other assets, including property in safe deposit boxes or similar property.
In response, Tasha has asked the courts to step in. She argues that the appeal she filed is still pending and collections cannot be made until the judge makes a ruling.
