Blogger Tasha K has offered Cardi B only $220,000 instead of the owed $3.9 million.
According to Radar Online, Tasha K’s (Latasha Kebe) bankruptcy filing led to her offering Cardi B $220,000 as part of the repayment plan required within 30 days of the Chapter 11 declaration.
Cardi B is contesting the offer, asserting that Tasha’s statements initially led to her debt. Cardi argues that the $3.9 million judgment against the host of “Unwine with Tasha K” should not be removed.
“Defendant was given multiple opportunities to retract the false and defamatory statements and videos, but Defendant steadfastly refused to do so,” read Cardi B’s objections to the proposed payment plan.
Next, Cardi B will join other creditors in voting for or against the plan. There’s speculation that she might reject the proposal, which is her right.
Earlier this year, HipHopDX obtained documents revealing that Cardi B issued a subpoena duces tecum to Cheickna Kebe, Tasha K’s husband, on June 18.
Under the subpoena, Cardi B’s lawyers were allowed to assess the couple’s assets. This assessment occurred on August 7 in Miami, FL, and was recorded on video. The recorded examination was later included in Tasha K’s bankruptcy filing from May.
Cardi B was among the 30 debtors informed about the filing of “Unwine with Tasha K.” Others notified included the IRS, Broward County Tax Collector, Florida Department of Revenue, and Bank of America.
