Another shocking revelation made by Cassie during Tuesday’s testimony was the nickname that she was forced to call Diddy.
The “Me & U” singer testified in court on May 13th that Diddy made her call him “Pop Pop,” the same nickname she used for her grandfather. According to courtroom reporter Matthew Russell Lee (Inner City Press), the mother of two described an email exchange in which Diddy asked what she called her grandfather. “Pop Pop,” she responded, and Diddy insisted she call him that as well. On the stand, she now calls the request “disrespectful.”
This detail was among a string of disturbing allegations aired in court this week. Cassie, who dated Diddy from 2007 to 2018 and was signed to Bad Boy Entertainment, described a pattern of violent behavior, especially when she refused his sexual demands. She testified that Diddy once struck her while they were both high on ecstasy, and alleged years of “psychological abuse.”
Another explosive claim came from escort Daniel Philip, who testified about a “freak-off” involving Diddy and Cassie. Philip said Cassie asked if he had ever urinated on a client. After saying no, he testified that Cassie requested he do so, but when he began urinating in a way they “didn’t want,” he was told to stop. “A little at a time,” Philip recalled being instructed. He was told to “leak” on her.
Diddy, who denies all allegations, is facing federal charges including sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution charges that could carry a life sentence.
