Testimony in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal sex trafficking and racketeering trial continued Thursday in New York, and it came with new revelations about Cassie’s personal life, this time involving actor Michael B. Jordan.
On the witness stand for a second day, celebrity stylist Deonte Nash testified that while working in Miami to style rapper Lil Kim, he helped connect Cassie with Michael B. Jordan. At the time, Cassie was still publicly linked to Diddy.
The courtroom moment added another layer to an already high-profile trial. When asked by the defense about Cassie’s dating history, Nash confirmed the setup and was later asked about other names, including former NFL player Andre Branch—who he referred to as “the cute football player”—and an NBA player named Brandon. Nash said he never met either of them but was aware of their connections to Cassie.
The conversation turned more serious as Nash was questioned about text messages referencing Cassie’s injuries and intimate relationships. While looking at the messages in court, Nash said, “Oh, you got some names in here,” before role-playing parts of the exchange. When asked if he knew whether Cassie had threesomes with other men, Nash replied, “Ugh. No, she didn’t tell me.”
Nash also stood by his claim that Diddy once used Cassie’s own phone to record her and that he had witnessed threatening behavior, including one violent incident where he said Diddy caused Cassie’s head to bleed. Nash said he never reported it at the time because he feared retaliation.
He also confirmed that he helped Cassie select her courtroom attire for her testimony earlier in the trial.
Before jurors entered the courtroom Thursday, attorneys debated whether to introduce a scrapbook from a former Diddy assistant that reportedly references the 1997 murder of Notorious B.I.G., adding another layer of complexity to the proceedings.
