A viral rumor surrounding deceased teen Celeste Rivas has been debunked by the medical examiner.
TMZ obtained Rivas Hernandez’s death certificate, which states the 15-year-old was not pregnant when her body was discovered in a Tesla owned by singer D4vd earlier this month. This directly contradicts early speculation that suggested she may have been expecting.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has yet to determine her official cause of death. The certificate lists it as “deferred” while toxicology results are still pending. Although the manner of death is ruled as a homicide, investigators are still working to determine exactly how and why the teen died.
The teen’s body was found in the trunk of the vehicle on September 8, a day after her 15th birthday. The Tesla had been towed from a Hollywood Hills street after neighbors reported it had been parked too long.
LAPD Robbery-Homicide detectives have served a search warrant at D4vd’s nearby rental home and collected evidence, but no suspects or persons of interest have been named. It’s still unclear if D4vd is actively cooperating with authorities.
A funeral for Celeste Rivas is scheduled for October 4th.
